When my wife decided to start folkart painting she found it extremely difficult to find wooden items to paint, and was limited to what she could find mass produced at craft stores. This prompted me to try my hand at cutting out some basic wood shapes and I couldn't believe how relaxing it was. It sure took the stress of the week away, and I soon found myself upgrading to better tools, and expanding my workshop (its almost an obsession now). Of course with better tools I had to produce better results, and with time this happened.

I soon found myself cutting out shapes for a craft group that meet once a week, a second group meeting the following day soon followed. This fed my obsession with cutting out for a while. Now every time I meet the ladies at these craft groups all I can say is paint faster! Yes unfortunately to produce nice art work takes longer than it takes me to cut out the shapes. Now all my wife’s friends have a cupboard/backlog of work to catch up on, and I'm cutting out things they haven't asked for yet. Bit of a self defeating project, I know they will never catch up.

So now if you need patterns cutouts all you need do is talk to me and send me a copy of the pattern (happy to take it as an email or via Australia Post). I only need the black and white tracing pattern, and if its your only copy then I will return it intact, but I usually attach your pattern to the wood before cutting. This also helps me ensure you have the rights to copy the pattern, I don't see what you buy, but I do need some way of knowing you are not in breach of copyright.

Just remember I'm not a machine, and will do my best to get you a timely delivery, just don't ask for a dozen of the same thing, this has to be fun for me toooooo!
